Dr Henk Roodt

Henk holds a PhD in Engineering Science from the Department of Process Engineering at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa.  Combined with a solid background in Physics (a masters degree from the University of the Free State in South Africa) he has the scientific know-how to bring rigour to the process of problem solving and process development.  The University of Pretoria School of Information Technology utilised his services as a member of their Advisory Board from 2006 to 2008 and he acts as an external examiner at the Masters and Doctorate level for several universities in South Africa.  His  cross-cutting knowledge also allows him to contribute to publications regularly.

He is an acknowledged expert in the field of modeling and simulation (M&S) of complex systems with almost twenty years experience in this area.  The establishment and management of the laboratory for simulation based acquisition at the CSIR in South Africa was one of his career achievements.  Building on that success, he was asked to manage a large portfolio of military technology projects from 2005 - 2010 at which time he left the CSIR to move to New Zealand. 

Henk has experience in project management, business development, systems analysis and strategy and scenario creation. 

He is still an active member of INCOSE South Africa and registered as a practicing scientist there.  He is a member of Simulation Australia and registered with Standards New Zealand.
